This is the second revamp of the “About Katie” page, and y’all may be wondering why the heck do I edit it all the time? Well, first of all, I don’t edit it “all the time.” Just whenever I feel like the information provided to you guys is outdated. Which is exactly how I felt about fifteen minutes ago when I checked out what I had said earlier. So I’m rewriting it! Here we go!
Hello, my name is Katie! But y’all already knew that. I am 15, and I am going through the second semester of my freshman year in high school! It’s been a lovely year. I’ve made so many new friends and kept a few that go to my school that I knew from my middle school. Let’s just say that I don’t the days.
When I was in the second grade, I took a test that, if I earned a sufficient score, would show that I was “smart” enough to be in the Gifted program. I did not earn that certain score, but the next year, I moved to a new school district around December. Apparently, the people at my new school thought I was good enough because I took the Gifted test again. This time, I earned the score I needed. So I was placed in what was called “FOCUS” back in elementary school. When I made the shift to middle school, I was no longer in FOCUS, I was in PROBE. Then this year, they dropped the acronyms and just called it the Gifted program. So that’s what I am in now. My only College Prep level class right now is Health. I take Gifted Language Arts, but I am in Honors Spanish 2 (I took Spanish 1 in seventh and eighth grade). I do not have a Social Studies class because we only are to required to take three years of it, but my Science class is Advanced Placement Biology. I did not want to put in that class at all, but the amount of AP students was too little, so they put the should-be Gifted Bio students into that class. I hate it. Biology isn’t really my favorite, you see. Actually, to be honest, it’s my least favorite class that I’ve had this year. My only other class is Journalism, and we make the school newspaper. I love it. There are only about twelve students, so I am good friends with pretty much all of them.
I don’t have anything else that I can write long paragraphs about, so the following will be a list of some information and my favorite things.
